“I started shooting when I was 10 years old after my parents took up the sport in the early 80s. It was a hobby that soon became a job in 1999 when I was lucky enough to be employed at Bisley Shooting Ground as a junior instructor. I worked at BSG for two years until I was offered the chance to move over to the newly built National Clay Shooting Centre and I’m still here to this day.
It was working at the NCSC that I found I had an aptitude for Skeet Shooting, first English skeet then moving on to Olympic skeet. I have had some success in Olympic skeet, having represented England eight times over the past twelve years. I have won the English Grand Prix twice and the English open once, including numerous county and inter county wins over the years. Outside of competing, I was a technical officer for the 2002 commonwealth games, a senior referee at the London Olympics and the Glasgow commonwealth games. I have been team coach to the GB Junior Team four times on matches abroad and a British Shooting Pathway Coach for the past five years. In 2012 I was awarded the Clay Pigeon Shooting Association’s coach of the year award and was runner up in 2018.”
